CABLING AND BRACING
Trees don't always read the book on how to grow properly, so we have to help them out in our urban landscapes occasionally. Supplemental support systems significantly reduce the chance of limb or tree failure. Situations that may deem a cable or brace rod may include but are not limited to; multiple competing leaders(co-dominant), excessively weighted limbs with poor attachments to the tree, active splitting trees, etc. With every scenario different, each tree requires special attention. It is recommended to have your support systems inspected annually by your certified Arborist to assure proper functionality.

FERTILIZATION
Trees and shrubs need nutrients to continue thriving and prospering in our climate. Sometimes our trees, plants, and grass are just too close together and steal nutrients from each other. So replenishing the valuable nutrients into the soil that they need is an important part of long term maintenance and care for your landscape.

INSECT AND DISEASE MANAGEMENT
Maintenance and care for your trees and shrubs sometimes includes dealing with tricky insects and diseases known to our area. The first step is to properly identify the issue and cause. Next,create a management plan that's fitting for your landscape and home. As a licensed NC pesticide applicator you can rest easy knowing you're in knowledgeable hands.

LIGHTNING PROTECTION
Our Carolina trees grow strong and tall. Large mature trees in our landscapes can average 90'-150'. Sometimes reaching above understory canopies, making them susceptible to a lightning strike. Lightning can be devastating to a tree. Installing a lightning protection system into your mature trees could save them from the potential destruction of a strike.It is recommended to have your lightning protection system inspected annually by your certified Arborist to assure proper functionality.

PRUNING
Pruning is generally done by the Arborist climbing but can sometimes be performed from the ground. When we prune, selective limbs are removed using various arboricultural methods. They are removed for several reasons. They may be dead, dying, or diseased. Pruning can be performed to encourage the proper growth habit or form of the tree or shrub. It may be needed provide clearance to a building or structure. Also, we prune to reduce the chance of limb failure or to correct a structural defect. Every tree has their own specific needs, so we aim to do what is best for you and your trees assessing each one individually.

REMOVING
Trees sometimes may unfortunately require removal. Whether it’s because of a structural defect, disease or insect damage, lightening, mechanical or human damage or upcoming construction or renovations. With so many reasons, each tree like itself is different. We assess each tree to come up with the best plan of action. During a removal we utilize modern and traditional arboriculture rigging techniques, systematically dismantling trees with little to zero impact to the surrounding area and landscape. Focusing on the safety of our crew and surrounding property is an important part of this service as well.

SOIL MANAGEMENT
Our landscape takes a pretty good beating thoughout the year with all the activity in the yard. Excessive compaction to the soil surrounding trees and shrubs hinders their growth, sometimes even leading to a total decline. Utilizing a specialized air compressed gun, reducing soil compaction and adding organic material is easier then ever. Consult your Arborist about other products to enhance your soil structure.
